Keeping the baby entertained while shopping
One of the things I love about Costco is their children's book selection. I put a bunch of books in the shopping cart with Astrid (one big one for her to sit on) and she's entertained while I shop.

Another nice touch that Costco does - is draw a happy face on the receipt for kids. Depending on the employee, sometimes the drawing can be more elaborate (with hair and glasses) or just a plain ole smiley face like the one we got today. Astrid loves it. She holds the receipt and gives it to the Costco employee standing at the exit, anticipating a "face" to be drawn. And being a toddler, she always thinks they drew her - she points to the drawing and announces, "Astrid's face".
