More teeth for that Colgate smile

Astrid has a total of 5 teeth now. We were so focused on the upper 2 front teeth coming in that we didn't even notice the little bottom tooth (left of the bottom 2 front teeth) that came through already.

So many teeth for a little baby and so many coming in all at once. Ouch. It must be really uncomfortable for her, but she has done surprisingly well. It seems so unnecessary for teeth to come in so early when she has no use for them yet.

I have a feeling she has another tooth that's coming in but it's hard to get a good look. Try taking a good, long look into a baby's mouth (at their gums) when they don't want you to. Good luck. The only time I get a peek is when she's laughing or opening her mouth to chew on a toy. Anyone have any suggestions? You can see the new tooth in this photo.

Has anyone tried the gum numbing solution for babies? I was thinking of getting some for Astrid to help with the teething pain. I'm concerned though with how this may affect her teeth grinding. If I numb her gums will she grind even harder because she can't feel the pressure/pain?

Hey Rose,

I've used the gum numbing twice, only when Mara really NEEDS it. She has done surprisingly well, too.
She doesn't seem to grind her gums anymore than usual. It usually lasts for a couple of hours and then she doesn't need anymore.
What a cutie Astrid is, can you believe how fast they are growing? It seems only yesterday we just bringing them home. I can't believe it's been 7 months.
Miss you guys! Give Astrid hugs and kisses for us!
