Astrid loves it when I get down on her level and play with her. Today I got down on the ground with her, under the arches of her activity mat to hug/kiss her and baby talk. She squealed and laughed.I read somewhere that moms who return to work after having a baby have a hard time speaking in an adult voice again, so the advice goes for moms returning to the workforce to practice saying "Ho Ho Ho" like Santa would in a deep voice. Quirky I know but it probably does help.

I think it's hard to talk like an adult sometimes since I've been at home for over a year now. I always tell Doug I have to go "potty" instead of just going to the bathroom. I can't wait to see what words I'll be saying to adults once Isabella starts talking.
