Potholders are "Astrid's gloves"

Whenever I'm washing the dishes Astrid will rush over and shout, "Astrid wear gloves too!" and grab the oven mitts out of the kitchen drawer. While wearing them she'll tell me they're her gloves.

Pretty funny and cute. Why she feels the need to wear gloves I don't know. But she just can't stand to be without them when she sees me with my rubber dishwashing gloves on.

I put this step up stool next to the sink so she can see what I'm doing, and she can go up and down as many times as she wants without needing any assistance. (It helped a lot when she couldn't get up and down off a chair, but now she can even do that on her own.)
