We only do that in a restroom
Today after going potty at home, I saw Astrid trying to flush the toilet with her foot (imitating what she saw me do earlier in a public restroom). Pretty comical. I had to stop her and say (with a straight face), "We only do that in a restroom."

Potholders are "Astrid's gloves"
Whenever I'm washing the dishes Astrid will rush over and shout, "Astrid wear gloves too!" and grab the oven mitts out of the kitchen drawer. While wearing them she'll tell me they're her gloves.
Pretty funny and cute. Why she feels the need to wear gloves I don't know. But she just can't stand to be without them when she sees me with my rubber dishwashing gloves on.
I put this step up stool next to the sink so she can see what I'm doing, and she can go up and down as many times as she wants without needing any assistance. (It helped a lot when she couldn't get up and down off a chair, but now she can even do that on her own.)

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery - but this is ridiculous
On Tuesday, Astrid came down with some kind of stomach bug. First she vomited all over her crib and later had diarrhea, and was a bit lethargic with no appetite.
The following day (yesterday) she was better, but then I came down with the same icky stomach virus.
I was brushing my teeth when I turned around and saw Astrid holding her hair and dry heaving into the toilet - imitating mommy. If I wasn't sick I would have laughed out loud. Instead I told her not to do that and put the lid down. So what did she do? She went and pretended to throw up in her potty, where there's no lid. Sheesh. Kids.
