We're off to London, on our first stop of a 3 week vacation through Europe. To start our trip off right, we will be flying first class on Virgin Atlantic Airways. The seats turn into real beds, so we can at least have a few hours of sleep with the baby.
This will be Astrid's first international flight. (She's got me beat - flying internationally at 16 months. My first international flight was when I was 18 months old.)
Our schedule has us traveling to 7 countries and 8 cities in 3 weeks:
1) UK - London
2) France - Paris
3) Austria - Vienna
4) Germany - Munich
5) Italy - Venice & Rome
(Would love to be have visited the Nacken family in Turin if only we had more time!)
6) Spain - Ibiza
7) Holland - Amsterdam
We've been told by everyone that we're "overly ambitious" traveling to so many different countries with a baby (when they really mean we're nuts), but Astrid is a good traveler and her flight is still free (since she's under 2 years of age), so right now is the perfect opportunity to travel with her.
We'll have internet access at each stop along they way, so I will be uploading pics of our travels.
Bon Voyage!

Wow .. now that sounds really ambitious !!! is it all flights? all FIRST CLASS? .. or is there some car driving involved.
Yes, would have been lovely to see Rose and Julius play (and have crossover blogposts) .. but I know how stressful all that traveling is .. and I understand that Venice is really nicer than Turin :)
Have a great and safe trip!!!
Wow!! Have wonderful time and post tons of pictures. Safe traveling to you all.

We're taking planes and trains. No driving this time. And unfortunately no 1st class plane hopping from one European country to the next, but the flights are short so it won't be that bad.
Ha, me stupid got the names mixed up and now I cannot edit my comment ... I meant of course Julius playing with Astrid :) Have a gret trip !
