A game of soccer with a makeshift soccer ball

I wanted to give Uwe some quiet time to do some work (technically he's on vacation but he's still checking into the office and working), so I took Astrid outside to our patio, made a ball out of some crumpled up magazine pages, and we played a game of soccer more or less. Here is a photo of Astrid kicking our makeshift soccer ball.

Astrid absolutely loved it. She loved running back and forth and catching up to me, and kicking the ball. She didn't care that it wasn't really a ball, but just made out of magazine pages. She was laughing and thought it was the greatest game.Only problem was our "ball" kept unraveling after a number of kicks, so I'd have to keep crumpling it back up into the shape of a ball.Taking a breather.I really tired her out with all the running and kicking. It was great exercise for the little one.Astrid having a good laugh. Game over. Astrid absconds with our soccer ball.
