Today we went to "Toys R Hell" to look for some toys for Astrid. I don't think we will be frequent shoppers there. Lots of screaming kids running around the store begging their parents to buy them more junk does not a relaxing weekend make. But Astrid's getting to the point where she needs more stimulation so Uwe and I decided to get her a developmental 3-D activity gym from the manufacturer "Tiny Love."
It was a bit overwhelming for Astrid at first. There's a lot to look at and touch (5 toys dangling from the 2 suspended arches, the mirror, the lights, the mat with animal characters and things to grasp) and she has the choice of listening to Mozart or nursery tunes.
I think once she's had a chance to explore all the features she'll want to stay and play for longer periods of time.
It was even fun for me to play in there with her. Hey if I push this the lights in the flowers start blinking and the elephant vibrates if you pull it down...neat. =)

Hey There,
Mara has one of the 3-D toys too....she doesn't really like to lay under it right now, maybe because it's overwhelming. She really loves her bouncing seat and the jumperoo though.
Astrid is so cute, it's nice to watch them grow and make new faces/noises. I love being able to be at home w/Mara. We have so much fun!!!
Jewels
we had a gym like that sent from friends in the US .. and Julius used it for the longest time .. it is great!!!
Be glad you have Toys R Cash there .. it sucks when you do not have that close by (or not at all in the whole country)
SHe looks like she is enjoying it a lot
