You can see the bakery counter behind us. They also have outdoor seating but there weren't any tables available outside when we got there.Astrid eats her rice cereal like a pro. This was the first time we spoon-fed her out in public. Uwe wanted to feed her today since he doesn't get to do it during the week (b/c he's at work).Astrid delighted with her silly dad.Astrid is VERY interested in what her daddy is eating.Uwe pretending to give Astrid a bite of his salmon sandwich. She would have eaten it too if he would have let her. Kiss #1

While walking back to our car we passed through a shopping center. I thought one of the little shops would have a keepsake baby's first ornament for Astrid so I was looking into the windows when Uwe got my attention.
Uwe: Oh my God did you see that?
Rose: See what?
Uwe: That's the ugliest thing I've ever seen!
Rose: What are you talking about? Where?
Uwe: That pink Christmas tree! You didn't see it?! So here it is. That pink Christmas tree that was displayed in the window of a nail salon.
Paying extra to have fake snow blown onto your Christmas tree is a wee bit strange (although my family did it for many years), but this takes it to a whole new level dontcha think?

Wow, that tree IS really ugly. White one's tend to bother me, but they are nothing compared to that disgusting tree.
