After Astrid gets out of the bath I like to sit her on the counter, under the lights where it's warm, so I can towel dry her off and apply lotion. Here she is sticking her tongue out, looking at herself in the mirror. Wearing a hoody towel and a Mona Lisa smile.
You can see that bruise on her cheek that she got from a fall last week. She must have fallen hard because normally her bumps and bruises are gone within a day or two. This one is taking longer to disappear. A side shot of her playing with the Nivea lotion bottle.
We use Burt's Bees natural buttermilk baby lotion on Astrid. We tried a few baby lotions and I liked Burt's Bees the best. It absorbs quickly and moisturizes really well without leaving an oily residue. Since we made the switch, Astrid no longer has dry skin on her face cheeks. It also has a very mild natural smell (unlike Johnson & Johnson that has an overpowering, unnatural perfume/chemical smell).Looking oh so cute manipulating the lotion bottle while staring at her own image in the mirror.Practicing her opera singing. She looks so precious when she's elnatural. Somehow wearing clothes seems to make Astrid appear older and bigger, but in the buff she's still a sweet little baby."Oooooooh."
Everyday she's practicing making sounds (old and new).
