FLD3 1st time in Mickey Mouse Land/Astrid standing in her pack 'n play

It's my first time in Tampa & Orlando Florida. (I've been to FL before but only to Miami, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and the Keys.) Since Orlando is the home of Disney World, there are a lot of hotels and resorts and it's very kid friendly. Babysitting services only cost $12 an hour. That's much cheaper than the Las Vegas rate of $35 an hour.

Rather than staying in a hotel, for the same price we opted to stay at a Sheraton resort where the rooms are more like condos and family friendly. We have a fully stocked kitchen with all the appliances (stove, oven, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher). We also have our own washer/dryer. That makes things so much easier as I can wash clothes and bibs everyday and not have to worry about stock piling dirty clothes.

The Sheraton also provides a crib, pack 'n play, and a high chair. I'm used to hotels providing cribs only, but the pack 'n play and a high chair were nice touches. Now if they would only provide a changing table we'd be all set. We're currently using the counter top between the 2 sinks in the bathroom, but it's not the best place for it since Astrid loves to grab whatever is within her reach. Astrid surprised me by pulling herself up into the standing position in her pack 'n play. I had dressed her in her blue swimsuit with a ruffle tutu and put her in the pack 'n play so I could finish getting everything together so we could head down to the pool. Soon after she got on her knees and then grabbed onto the side and pulled herself right up. She loves to stand AND bite on the sides of her pack 'n play. She looks so cute standing up, wearing her tutu bathing suit.By standing up in her pack 'n play she can see all the action.

We enjoyed another swim in the pool with Astrid in her floatie. A storm is coming in and it's already getting a bit colder. Today might be the last day we can be in the pool.

After our swim we made a trip to the grocery store. In addition to wanting to get some water and stuff to munch on, we needed to stock up on baby food. We brought a few days worth of baby food, but didn't bring more since those glass jars are heavy (and we just barely made the weight requirement with our luggage as is). So we made a stop at Publix, a grocery store chain in Florida. It's similar to Ralphs but it's HUGE. I was happy to see that they have some organic food, organic Gerber baby food (although it doesn't taste as good as Nature's Best) and we were even able to find unsalted chips for our salsa.

And of course Uwe made a separate stop at a liquor store to pick up some Long Island iced tea for me. Since I abstained from alcohol during my pregnancy, and I still don't care for it that much now, he's on a mission to get me back up to speed again. =)
