She's Got Personality

Astrid's personality is coming out more and more everyday. She's very observant and curious about everything. She'll let you know that she's bored by making groaning sounds which get progressively louder and then she also makes a noise that comes from the back of her throat which she'll continue to make until you pick her up. Before she either smiled or cried, but now she lets us know she needs something before she cries by making those sounds. She also smiles a lot and is a playful baby.
Can you see that sparkle in her eye? She always wants to see what's going on. We've both noticed that she twists around in her bouncy chair to see what's going on around her and if you don't strap her in, she'll find a way to slide down. When sitting in her swing the other day she dropped a toy and guess what she was doing? Hanging over the side of course looking down at the ground. Uwe predicts she's going to be in all our drawers by the time she's 3. We'll have to find a creative outlet for all that curiosity.
She can be such an angel too. She looks up at you with those big blue eyes and sweet face and just melts your heart.

On a side note: Astrid slept through the entire night last night. Normally she wakes up around 2:30 or 3:30 AM and then goes back to sleep after a diaper change and feeding, and then wakes up again at 6 AM. But last night she slept right through the early AM and woke up at 7 AM. Did I get a full night of uninterrupted sleep you ask? Nope. I of course was checking on her at 2:30 and 4:30 and 6:30 to make sure she was alright. She has a penchant for pulling the blanket over her face which can be quite frightening. Now that the weather is getting cooler, we're going to purchase those PJ's where the blanket is attached at the bottom as a bag, so your baby can't kick the blanket off or pull it over its head.
