Last week I went to 3 stores and not one had a simple baby pool, or a pump. Today I tried Target and they were sold out. I guess summer is in full swing.
The only pools left on the shelves at Target were for older kids (not appropriate for toddlers). They did however have electric air pumps - woo hoo!
I found this baby castle pool at Walgreens for $20. It has a pool and slide, and another section with a castle and a wading pool. It's a bit more elaborate than I was looking for, but at least she'll have a lot of fun playing in it this summer.
Below are pics of Astrid in her new pool at my parents' place.

Toddler Nap Time
I haven't posted pics of nap time in a long while. So here are some nap time pics from today. Doesn't look like a lot of sleep happening, but once she settles down she naps for 3 hours at a time. I've heard and read that around this time a toddler's nap time starts to shrink, but *knock on wood* that hasn't happened yet.
Uh Oh Duckie Fall Down
I bought Astrid this new blanket recently to replace her old baby blanket (that has holes and stains).
See that duckie on the top, next to the hem, that's upside down and partially cut off? Astrid pointed to that duck and said, "Uh oh. Duckie fall down." It's so cute to get a peek into the thoughts of my 2 year old toddler. It made me think of Piaget and his stages of cognitive development.
