Today since Uwe didn't have the day off, but I did, Astrid and I went to meet him at his office for lunch. Here we are at a restaurant that makes organic salads.
Astrid is holding what Uwe calls "the secret weapon."Anytime Astrid gets antsy and we run out of things to keep her content and occupied, Uwe flips out his cell phone (aka the secret weapon) and let's Astrid play with it.She's loves playing with it and pushing the buttons.Somehow she's also figured out how to turn it on. And more importantly she's been known to make phone calls. Once she made a phone call to Uwe's CEO. Yikes!

Once, Isabella happened to press the right buttons to call the police department. Luckily, I caught in time and hung up before it rang more than once. ;)
We eventually bought her a cell phone at Target made for kids. We "had" to buy her this one because it was silver and she wouldn't play with any other colors. She loved it for months, but she's finally realized it's not the same thing.
I saw this baby cell phone by Pottery Barn that looks real. I'm thinking about getting it for Astrid. (That way I know it's safe for her to gnaw on...since she's still teething.) But like you said, eventually she'll get bored with it too when she realizes it's not real.
B & B love our cell phones, as well. Brayden has called his father at work on several occasions, but Chris loves it when he does.
